Cookie Policy

Last updated 1 July 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Plye uses cookies and similar technologies on plye.io, and the choices you have about them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device — your computer, phone, or tablet — when you visit. Similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, do comparable things. Together they let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep it running, and help the owner understand how it is used. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called "first-party"; those set by another organisation are "third-party".

2. Our approach

We have kept this pre-launch site deliberately lean, and our use of cookies reflects that. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell information about your browsing to anyone.

3. The categories we use

  • Strictly necessary — these make the Site load and work properly, for example basic security and site functions. Because the Site cannot operate without them, they do not require your consent.
  • Analytics — we want to know, in broad terms, how many people visit and which pages are useful, so we can improve the Site. Where we can, we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless approach that measures visits in aggregate without identifying you. If we ever adopt an analytics or other tool that sets non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy before doing so.

4. Cookies set by our providers

Some cookies may be set by the trusted providers that help us run the Site, such as our website host or email provider. These are limited to operating the service and are covered by the same commitments above. We will name these providers here and in our Privacy Policy once they are confirmed.

5. Managing your cookies

You are in control of the cookies on your device. Most browsers let you see what is stored, delete existing cookies, and block or limit new ones through their settings or preferences menu, and many can warn you before a cookie is placed. Guidance is available in the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Bear in mind that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site from working as intended.

6. Changes to this policy

If our use of cookies changes — for example when the full product launches — we will update this policy, post the new version here, and change the date at the top.
